What is Seecura?
Seecura is an app designed to bridge the gap between the present and the future using 100% secure technology. Whether it’s sharing confidential data, making final arrangements, or sending photos and video messages to loved ones — Seecura ensures that the information reaches the right hands at the right time.
Why Seecura?
Seecura helps prepare for and protect against unforeseen events. It ensures messages to loved ones can be sent in the future, even after a person has passed away.

The app provides a platform for users to document final wishes and significant details for their loved ones, offering comfort for the future.

How is it certified if the User is alive?
Seecura requests verification on whether the user is still alive on their mobile device after a certain period of inactivity. The inactive period is defined as the duration when the device cannot be reached. Users can set or change this inactivity period at any time.
Who is involved in the Seecura platform besides the user?
Each user must choose two designated parties and can identify an unlimited number of recipients. The designated parties have the task of verifying whether the user is alive. The recipients are those who will receive a user’s final wishes. Designated parties and recipients may be the same.
What happens if a user doesn't choose designated parties?
The designated parties are tasked with verifying whether the user is alive (or deceased) if they become unavailable. Without designated parties, the second step of the verification procedure would be missing. By limiting the verification steps, a user risks activating the document delivery procedure before it is needed.
How does the procedure verify a user's status, start to end?
If the Seecura-equipped user’s device continues to be unavailable longer than the set inactive period, the procedure for verifying whether the user is alive is automatically triggered. This includes:

  • Automatic emailing the user — their reply certifies that they are still alive and immediately interrupts the procedure.
  • If the user doesn’t reply, the system sends three verification and certification emails to both designated parties. Their replies can interrupt or continue the procedure.
How are the designated parties and recipients engaged?
When the designated parties are chosen or when the recipients are associated with a final wish, the system automatically emails them an invitation to download Seecura to check a message from the user.

After downloading the app and signing up, recipients and designated parties receive a second email explaining how Seecura works and their role (certifying whether the user is alive for the designated parties, and receiving the instructions for recipients).

Note: The final wishes remain encrypted and inaccessible until the user is no longer present. The recipients will receive the access code of the documents reserved for them when the user’s status is verified.

Is it necessary for recipients and designated parties to download the app?
Yes, it is. The recipients and designated parties must have a Seecura profile. This ensures prompt contact exclusively through the platform.
Can a user send the same final wishes to multiple people simultaneously?
A user can send an unlimited number of final wishes to the same recipient, but each final wish must be associated with a single recipient.
What kind of material is possible to upload and send through Seecura?
Seecura supports all types of digital formats. This means a user has the freedom to store and transfer any type of information, i.e., photos of the most important people or places in a person’s life; passwords or encrypted codes of bank accounts and safe deposit boxes; social profile access data; lists of locations where jewelry, securities, and insurance policies are kept; videos for passing on feelings or memories, etc.

The total size of the box (where the final wishes are stored) depends on the Seecura plan (Basic, Top, or Gold). A user can adjust the capacity of the box whenever they want by switching to another plan.

How does the document and image loading system work?
The Seecura platform encrypts and stores all the uploaded material on a special server.
Where is the Seecura app available?
Find it on any digital Store.
How does my mobile inactivity verification work? Must a user always be connected via SIM, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth?
The system relies on the user’s mobile connection, which requires the user to be connected to a data network. If the user exceeds the maximum inactive period they set, the system begins the procedure to verify whether the user is still active.
Does it work with any smartphone or operating system? Which version is required?
Seecura is available for both iOS and Android. It is compatible with the latest/next to last version on the market.
Can minors use the app?
There is no age limit for using Seecura.
Can a user access the profile from different devices?
Due to the specificity of Seecura, its system for certifying a user’s status, and the confidentiality of its content, at this time, access is permitted only through the mobile phone where the app is downloaded. However, if needed, it is possible to open two Seecura profiles linked to two emails and two different telephone numbers.
What if a user decides to leave the mobile idle for a period? Can they transfer the app to another phone or device?
The Seecura personal profile is associated with a single user and a single mobile phone. If a user download and install the app on another mobile phone and log in using the email, password, and telephone number with which they signed up through the previous mobile, then the system will identify the app as already active and will not allow use.
How can a user shift to another Seecura plan?
Users can easily choose the option that best suits their preferences at any time.
Why does the operating system require entering credit card information?
The request guarantees continuity of payment. It is a way to avoid any plan suspension and the subsequent loss of the documents stored in the box.
What happens if a user fails to make a payment and their plan expires?
In case of plan payment failure, the Seecura subscription will expire.
Is it necessary to sign up with an email address and password?
In addition to personal details, an email address and password are required when signing up. A PUK is sent after the login. This personal access key will allow a user to manage the app in case of theft or loss of phone or app access credentials.

Note: Recipients and designated parties will receive notifications with the user’s name. Therefore, it is recommended to sign up using first and last names.

Does the app have to be kept open for it to work properly?
No. The system is designed to monitor the availability and functionality of the mobile phone even without being opened. The app never runs in the background and requires ID and PW at every launch.

An inactive period indicates a time-lapse when the mobile does not communicate with the outside world (because it is off, has no data traffic, or is out of reach).

Note: The user is the only one who can set an inactivity time lapse. They can also modify it at any time.

Does the app work without an internet connection?
A user must be connected to the Internet to upload content. A connection is also necessary to check the inactive period and, subsequently, the eventual start of the certification procedure on whether the user is alive.
How does uploading final wishes work? Can they be uploaded at any time?
Yes, a user can upload files whenever and however they want. Uploading must always take place via a mobile phone.
Do the final wishes sent through Seecura have legal/testamentary value?
Seecura does not aim to replace a will, be it holographic, written by hand, or drawn up by a notary. Its goal is to allow the user to transmit specific messages to specific recipients.

However, Seecura has ”testamentary value” if it is used to indicate where a person’s will (holograph or notary) has been kept. Seecura can also ”contain” a holographic will if this is photographed and stored in the system.

Note: Seecura does not replace the legal provisions of the user’s country. It is always advisable to inquire about the local testamentary legislature.

What if user’s mobile phone is lost or stolen?
In the event of loss or theft of a user’s mobile phone, they can replace it by downloading the app on another device. They will need to go through a recognition procedure involving the PUK (personal code received at the time of signing up to Seecura).

If the inactive period indicated by the user is exceeded, then the procedure for certifying whether they are alive gets activated.

Note: Seecura can work on one device only. Launching the app on another phone automatically deletes its presence from the primary device.

Is it possible to unsubscribe? What will happen to the final wishes in that case?
Users who stop paying for the plan unsubscribe from the system. However, deleting all the final wishes uploaded from the box is recommended in this case.
How is privacy protected?
Seecura protects its users’ privacy by encrypting the information and documents they upload. The system does not allow for modifying the uploaded content. It only allows for deleting or replacing such content. This allows only the final recipients to visualize the uploaded content.

Note: We recommend uploading the content to the Seecura server on a mobile phone. The system guarantees anonymity and privacy. However, if the mobile phone is lost or stolen, then the files in the mobile phone’s memory might become accessible to anyone.

In case a user forgets their password or loses their PUK, what should they do?
An automatic recovery identification procedure and An automatic recovery identification procedure and the creation of a new password will allow a user to recover a lost login password. In case of a lost PUK, the user must submit a written request. A certification and verification procedure of the user’s credentials and identity will follow with the subsequent “manual” issuing of a new PUK.
How is file security ensured?
The files put into the system and sent to the recipients are encrypted. The recipients will be given the decryption key only after a user is no longer present.

Encryption takes place on the server side, with keys managed by Amazon S3 (SSE-S3).

The uploaded content and the related decryption keys are not stored on the same platform. For this reason, the submitted content cannot be modified by the user — only deleted and replaced.

All messages created and sent by the Seecura system on a mobile phone are automatically deleted from the log of created messages. Sent messages are tracked only in the form of a sole description, and the recipient’s name remains in the list of messages sent.
